We will continue to focus on writing genres in literacy. In numeracy we will continue to focus on problem solving and mental maths. The process of SSE has shown improvements in all writing genres and problem-solving skills throughout the school.
We will be concentrating on the New Primary Language Curriculum this year. Assessment of learning and for learning is a focus in all classrooms also. Assessment methods used include self-assessment, conferencing, portfolio assessment, concept mapping, questioning, teacher observations, teacher designed tasks and tests and standardised tests.
